Canpotex is currently seeking a temporary Accountant (Terminals & Capital Projects) (19-14) in the Finance Department in our Saskatoon office. This temporary position is expected to last approximately 12 to 18 months.
Reporting to the Manager, Accounting (Terminals), you are responsible for recording, monitoring, and reporting on costs related to Canpotex terminals, capital projects and fixed assets. You are responsible for preparing journal entries, schedules, and various reports to provide to internal stakeholders. You will assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and budgets for our terminals. You will also ensure adherence to corporate accounting and internal control policies, tax regulations and the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
You are highly organized and have excellent interpersonal skills that enable you to interact with all levels of staff and management. You are encouraged to apply if you have a degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Chartered Professional Accountant designation is considered an asset. You will have a minimum of two to four years’ experience in financial accounting. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
