Canpotex announced today that it has donated $50,000 to the Canadian Red Cross – Ukraine Appeal which provides humanitarian assistance to those affected by the crisis in Ukraine, including Ukrainian refugees.
“We’re deeply concerned about the impact of Russia’s invasion on the people of Ukraine,” said Gordon McKenzie, President and CEO, Canpotex. “Our thoughts are with all those impacted who continue to demonstrate unparalleled bravery and resilience. We hope this donation will provide some relief to those who are enduring this devastating crisis.”
Canpotex’s global headquarters are in Saskatchewan where there is a large Ukrainian diaspora and the company has a number of employees with friends, families, and deep ties to Ukraine. For many these events are personal.
