Canpotex has joined the Business Council of Canada and its members in releasing the following statement:
The events of the past week have saddened and shaken us all. This is a time to recognize the pain felt by many, to show empathy and to care for one another.
As business leaders we are coming together to denounce, unequivocally, racism in all its forms. To realize Canada’s potential we need to acknowledge our historical shortcomings and the harsh realities that so many continue to face today.
We all share in the responsibility to eliminate racism.
As employers we value and promote diversity and inclusion in our companies and in our communities. We call on other leaders to do the same so that together we can build a more just, fair and equitable society.
We can and must do better.
