September is Milk Month at the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre (SFBLC). All month long the SFBLC raises awareness and funds in support of its Milk for Children Program.
For the past five years Canpotex has stepped up to support this critical program by matching all public donations in the month of September up to $50,000. In the last year alone, the food bank provided 56,428 litres of fresh milk for children and pregnant and nursing women.
The Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre (SFBLC) is aiming to raise $100,000 in the month of September to ensure a litre of fresh milk is provided for every child visiting the organization.
On Friday, August 13 it was announced that Canpotex is the recipient of the 2020 Canada’s Volunteer Awards, Regional Business Leader: Prairies. The award recognizes Canpotex’s commitment to the Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre (SFBLC), where they have been an engaged partner since 2017.

Belarusian Potash Company yesterday announced it has agreed with a Buying Consortium to supply potash to China at a contract price of US$247/MT CFR, which would be a US$27/MT increase from previously-reported China contracts. As stated in our release when BPC announced it had concluded a contract for India, this price is significantly below current market levels for potash in key offshore markets.
Belarusian Potash Company has announced agreement to a new annual contract with Indian Potash Limited to supply 800,000 metric tons of potash to India at a price of US$247/MT CFR. This would be significantly below current market levels for potash in key offshore markets and a complete disconnect from the strong fundamentals currently being seen for major agricultural commodities in numerous growing regions throughout the world.

This strong demand continues to be supported by solid fundamentals for several major agricultural commodities in numerous growing regions. With the support of the public and Canpotex, the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre (SFBLC) raised the largest amount ever for their Milk for Children Program during Milk Month, totalling $133,511. This unprecedented level of support will provide 93,365 litres of milk to the community.
